Balloon safaris in Tanzania is a romantic and evocative way of experiencing the wilderness of plains of Serengeti, as you gracefully and silently fly over the plains teeming with herds of wildlife in the early morning. It also involves a visit to other northern Tanzania National parks and destinations such as Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tarangire National Park, and Manyara National Park.Comments

Day 1 - Arrival & Airport pick up
You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport by our staff and transferred to ARUSHA for resting after a long flight. Our staff will answer all your queries regarding your upcoming safari and provide you with a short briefing as well. Afterwards, you will be taken to your accommodation.

Day 2 - Tarangire National Park
Travel from Arusha at 8.00am to Tarangire National Park after early breakfast. Tarangire National Park is known for its elephant’s herds of up to 300, migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland grazing and browsing in the dry river bed. There is Silale swamp that attracts 550 varieties of birds, the most breeding species you'll see in one habitat anywhere in the world! The park is also home of tree climbing pythons, as well as lions and leopards. You will enjoy game drive and game viewing with picnic lunch. Dinner and Overnight at Karatu.

Day 3 - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park via Oldupai Gorge, Tanzania’s and world most important pale anthropological sites, it has proven invaluable in furthering understanding of early human evolution. While at Oldupai Gorge you will get to know the history of human revolution. And enjoy your lunch there, Thereafter drive to Serengeti national park for evening game drive with dinner and overnight at Serengeti with stunning views of the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is a grassland savannah plains accommodating diversity of animal species such as predators (lions, leopards, cheetahs, etc.) big ostrich population, migratory birds migratory wildebeest and other animals. Day 4 - Full Day Serengeti National Park
We have 2 full days in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top; we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, we will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions, and if you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of the interesting birdlife, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. On these days we will have a chance to do walking safaris in Serengeti National Park.

Day 5 - Baloon Safari / Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.We do an after breakfast game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The visitor’s centre not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. In the afternoon we will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dinner and Overnight in Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 6 - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, taking picnic lunches with you descend down to the crater floor for a full day of tracking game with your guide. The crater is 670m deep and 260km² wide, making it the largest Caldera in the world. The crater contains all the big five animals (lions, elephants, rhinos, leopard and buffaloes), hippos, cheetah, antelopes and spotted hyena. Also in the crater you can see different species of birds. Other game such as velvet monkey, jackal, foxes, rock and tree hyraxes, warthog, gnu, zebra and hare. You will have a picnic lunch and later ascend up. Dinner and overnight at Karatu

Day 7 - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast follows pick up and drive to Lake Manyara National Park with lunch .The park is home to the tree climbing Lions, Hippo, Elephants, Zebras, Buffalos, Giraffes, large groups of Baboons, Blue and Velvet monkey, Warthog and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded. The Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. In this park canoeing has recently been added to the tourist activities in this park at extra cost. This is a great way to see the park from a new perspective. Depending on your International Flight Schedule, you will later be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport to connect with your International flight back home.
