Gombe Stream Safari – 3‑Day Adventure from Dar es Salaam

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a domestic flight from Dar es Salaam to Kigoma (approx. 1,250 km, flight time about 2 hours). Upon arrival at Kigoma Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver guide. From the airport, you'll be transferred to the Kigoma port (approx. 10 km, about 20 minutes drive), where you will board a boat for your journey to Gombe Stream National Park. The boat ride from Kigoma to Gombe takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (depending on weather and boat type), covering a distance of about 16 to 20 km across the scenic waters of Lake Tanganyika, the second deepest lake in the world. Along the way, enjoy views of the lush shoreline, passing small fishing villages and possibly spotting birdlife or even hippos in the lake.
Upon arrival at Gombe National Park, check into your lodge nestled within the park. After check in, enjoy a leisurely dinner and take time to relax, soaking in the tranquility of the forest and lake surroundings. Overnight stay at your lodge in Gombe.

After an early breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and take a boat transfer back to Kigoma town (approx. 1.5 to 2 hours boat ride). Upon arrival at Kigoma port, you will be met and transferred to Kigoma Airport (approx. 20 minutes drive) to catch your return flight to Dar es Salaam (approx. 2 hours flight time).
